Chengdu Qingteng Fragrant Mansion Kindergarten

In Chengdu, Sichuan, we started with the concept of the "panda," which best represents the local character. We integrated the forms and colors of pandas, bamboo, and natural wood into various design details, creating a kindergarten that combines natural ecology, artistic sports, and rare culture.

This is a paradise for children and pandas.

Roll-Roll is the largest panda in the park. Every day, it quietly climbs onto the roof, basking in the sun at times, and riding the breeze at others. It loves to nap and even more, it loves to greet the young students every morning with its cutest side.

The little pandas are not left behind; they skillfully climb upward along the poles, stationed in the camp, extending an inviting gesture to every child entering the park.

In the climbing games, children enhance their spatial logic and orientation, feel the intimacy and connection of the group, and perceive their relationship with the land and self within the energy of the architecture, inspiring more imaginative thinking.

Sliding down the long slide from the treetop walkway, the flower box maze appears before their eyes. The entire maze is built around a big tree, and children can distinguish the changing seasons by the colors of the leaves.

Here, children's chasing and running become more intellectual and fun.

Where is Roll-Roll's home? Roll-Roll's home is in a cave. This is the secret base of Roll-Roll and the children.

Kindergarten Outdoor Design

Exploration is one way for children to understand the world.

Children cautiously climb out of the cave, from darkness to light, from curiosity to amazement. When they climb up to the treehouse in front of them, the brave games are just beginning.

Behind the cave is a large sand and water area, which is also the backyard of Roll-Roll's home. Flowing water, bamboo groves, flowers, and wooden walkways—such activity areas allow children to feel the wonders of nature at any time and place. The fragrance of flowers, changes in the grass, the sound of insects, the touch of sunlight, rain, and wind—all serve as lively textbooks for teaching children to think and discover.

Today, with an increasing number of activities that don't require physical participation, children are lacking diverse experiences in their growth, leading to more and more young people who struggle to connect with others. Here, we have created an environment that connects children with nature, allowing them to truly develop a passion for beauty while experiencing the beauty and gifts of nature.

We have built a natural ecological paradise for children, allowing them to spend an unforgettable childhood in the company of flowing water and fragrant flowers.
